I began my career in photojournalism almost 20 years ago. I worked for several daily newspapers in SLC and really loved it. I made the hard decision to quit seven years ago to stay home with my son, Hayden, who was four at the time. I wanted to spend more time with him before he was in school full-time but had every intention of returning to work. Then, along came Lily. There was no turning back. I have been fortunate enough to be able to work from home doing what I love. Creating my card line has been quite a journey but my passion is photographing children. There is a moment during my shoots that the subject either becomes so comfortable or forgets I am there all together— this is when the amazing photos happen.
